Job Description

The Director of Product Development is a senior manager responsible for advancing and executing the company’s product development strategy for key global B2B partners. This role oversees cross‑functional product development execution and drives strategic customer growth through best‑in‑class product solutions. You will partner closely with Sales, Design, and Manufacturing to guide product decisions, enhance customer partnerships, and ensure that development initiatives deliver measurable business impact.

You will also manage a team, strengthen Anisa’s product development capabilities and build a culture of innovation, operational rigor, and customer‑centric excellence. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Product Direction & Business Planning Define and manage the long‑range product development roadmap across customer accounts, ensuring alignment with company growth priorities and operational capabilities Identify emerging category opportunities, whitespace, and innovation pathways that elevate Anisa’s market position and strengthen customer partnerships Represent Product Development in high‑level customer meetings, business reviews, and enterprise decision‑making forums to drive alignment and influence outcomes Oversee end‑to‑end product development for customers—from strategic brief to concepting, design refinement, sampling, costing, and approval Ensure product concepts meet customer expectations, trend direction, technical feasibility, cost targets, and sustainability initiatives Drive continuous improvement across development processes, ensuring speed‑to‑market, quality, and successful conversion from concept to launch Supply Chain Management Integration Partner with SCM to assess supplier capabilities, factory capacity, lead times, and materials feasibility early in development Evaluate and optimize supply chain risk factors (capacity constraints, MOQ restrictions, component sourcing, freight considerations, regulatory compliance) Collaborate with SCM on cost engineering, margin optimization, and long‑term supply planning strategies Support supplier onboarding and qualification processes for new materials, manufacturing partners, and innovation platforms Escalate and resolve development or sourcing issues in partnership with Manufacturing and SCM to ensure timeline adherence Integrate sustainability goals into product and supply decisions, including responsible sourcing, material alternatives, and production efficiency Ensure supply chain assumptions (costs, lead times, materials, risk factors) are embedded into PD strategy, customer proposals, and forecast planning Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and industry partners to expand innovation capabilities Cross‑Functional Management Serve as the senior liaison across AIUS and AITJ teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across design, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer counterparts Oversee cross‑functional workstreams to quickly resolve development challenges, align priorities, and ensure timely delivery of milestones Communicate program strategies, risks, and decisions to stakeholders at all levels Business Performance & KPIs Establish clear KPIs for product development efficiency, customer conversion rates, portfolio performance, and innovation velocity Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and competitive benchmarks to guide future development Present quarterly analysis and strategic recommendations to Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership People Management & Team Development Manage and grow the product development team Build a culture that values creativity, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence Strengthen internal knowledge‑sharing, process governance, and cross‑functional communication frameworks QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, or related field (Masters preferred) 10+ years of progressive experience in product development within beauty, luxury goods, fashion, CPG, or related industries Demonstrated success driving strategic product development for major B2B customers Deep understanding of the full product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization Experience managing and developing high‑performing teams Strong business acumen with the ability to translate customer needs and data into strategic product direction Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally Strong analytical, financial, and problem‑solving capabilities Highly organized, with the ability to lead multiple complex programs simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Monday.com, and Box is preferred Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed WHY JOIN US Shape the innovation strategy for some of the world’s most iconic beauty brands Manage a talented, globally connected product development team Work at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and customer partnership Influence company‑wide direction and long‑term product strategy Build products that define the future of beauty tools and consumer experience WORK ENVIRONMENT & BENEFITS We are an in‑office hybrid team that values collaboration, flexibility and connection We offer a competitive benefits package We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
