Director of Software Development

We are seeking a Director of Software Development for our client, to drive the design, delivery, and evolution of enterprise digital platforms. This role will lead software development execution while defining technical architecture that supports scalable, high‑performance systems. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a clear focus on AI‑driven and emerging technologies .

This position operates within Agile delivery environments (Scrum, XP, and related methodologies) and is accountable for ensuring each iteration delivers measurable business value while continuously improving system stability, performance, and architecture standards. Key Responsibilities Lead software development execution and technical architecture across enterprise‑scale platforms Guide Agile delivery practices, including Scrum, XP, and iterative SDLC methodologies Define and evolve software architecture standards aligned to modern and emerging technologies Oversee full‑stack development efforts in complex, distributed environments Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 direct reports , fostering high technical standards and growth Drive architecture decisions supporting scalability, performance, stability, and security Collaborate closely with IT leadership, product partners, and business stakeholders Ensure software delivery follows best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and automation Champion AI-focused initiatives and innovative technical solutions Support release planning, delivery governance, and cross‑team alignment What We’re Looking For Strong background in software development and architecture leadership Hands‑on experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, XP, SAFe, or similar) Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams with direct reports Deep technical acumen with modern software platforms and cloud environments Proven experience working with AI‑related technologies or AI‑driven solutions Comfortable collaborating with senior IT leaders and navigating complex technical discussions Ability to balance technical depth with delivery execution and people leadership EEO Policy: Allied Resources complies with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) affirmative action laws and regulations.
