Position Overview:

Technica is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead and scale our PCB and PCBA sales operations. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing winning sales strategies, expanding customer relationships, and building a high-performance sales organization.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales leader with a deep understanding of technical sales, a proven ability to close complex deals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Define sales targets and drive the organization toward sustainable revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Identify new verticals and geographic growth opportunities to penetrate new customer bases.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a growing sales team to consistently meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Establish clear KPIs and accountability structures, while fostering a results-driven and collaborative sales culture.
  • Implement ongoing training programs and sales enablement initiatives to elevate team skills and customer engagement.

Sales Operations & Execution

  • Oversee the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure across all product lines.
  • Improve sales processes, implement CRM best practices, and ensure accurate pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Specialists, and Service teams to ensure cohesive messaging and exceptional customer experiences.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their evolving needs and delivering high-value solutions.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset across the sales organization to ensure loyalty and long-term partnerships.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Gather voice-of-customer insights to influence product development and positioning strategies.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Prepare and present regular sales performance updates, dashboards, and key metrics to senior leadership.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify areas for optimization and growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 8–10 years of progressive sales experience, including 5+ years in a sales leadership role (Sales Manager, Director, or equivalent).
  • Industry: Minimum 3 years of experience within the PCB or PCBA manufacturing or related electronic assembly equipment industries is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a technical sales environment.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of sales methodologies, forecasting, territory planning, and pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • High-level negotiation skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and modern collaboration platforms.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently—including on short notice—to meet with clients, attend industry events, or support the sales team in the field.
  • Director of Sales will act as the main point of contact for all of our supply partners.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $200,000 DOE (Depending on Experience)
