Job Details Description Country View Family Farms is looking for a strategic, market-savvy Director of Feed Ingredient Merchandising to lead feed ingredient trading, risk management, and long-term merchandising strategy across a growing, multi-state operation. This role sits at the center of our supply chain—owning commodity risk, optimizing ingredient value, and driving innovative merchandising strategies that support feed mills, grower partners, and external customers. You’ll lead a high-impact team while working cross-functio nally with nutrition, finance, transportation, IT, and production leadership.
What You’ll Do Own cash, basis, and futures risk management for inbound and outbound feed ingredients Lead external trading, brokering, and ingredient sales strategies Develop short- and long-term merchandising strategies that drive cost efficiency and value Manage rail, truck, unit train, shuttle, and transload logistics Build and expand grain origination and producer networks across multiple states Champion ERP and ag-tech initiatives tied to merchandising and logistics Provide market insight and leadership across the organization What You Bring 5 years of experience in feed ingredient merchandising, commodity trading, risk management, nutrition, or supply chain leadership Strong understanding of futures, basis, alternative ingredients, and relative value economics Proven ability to lead teams, manage complexity, and execute in volatile markets Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Why CVFF Executive-level influence with hands-on market impact Collaborative, cross-functional leadership environment Opportunity to shape long-term ag solutions and merchandising strategy at scale Ready to lead where markets, strategy, and operations meet?
