Shift Auto Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance & Accounting to join our Corporate Services team in Fredericton, NB.


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll provide financial leadership across our growing dealership network, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, effective planning, and strategic support for continued growth. What You'll Do



  • Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and OEM reporting

  • Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple business units

  • Help lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

  • Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and inventory financing

  • Support business startups, acquisitions, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Develop financial models, policies, and standardized processes

  • Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies

  • Other duties as may be required


What We're Looking For



  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field

  • Strong leadership, financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Experience in automotive retail or multi-location organizations is considered a strong asset

  • Business-minded, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement


Competitive salary range $125,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
