SCOPE OF POSITION: This full-time Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for all aspects of spiritual growth and development of children ranging in age from infants through fifth grade.

\n

\n

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

\n
• Oversee and Direct all Cornerstone Kids ministry environments including: \n
  \n
  • Sunday Nursery (Infant – 5 yrs old)
  \n
  • Sunday Elementary (K-5 th )
  \n
  • Wednesday night Kingdom Seekers (Infant-5 th )
  \n
  • Kids Buddy Program (special needs ministry)
  \n
\n
• Function as both a director of children’s ministry and the face of the ministry to kids and parents
\n
• Collaborate with the Discipleship Pastor and Leadership Team to plan and facilitate special events
\n
• Provide leadership to the Kid’s Ministry Coordinators and volunteers via staff development
\n
• Partner with Ministry Coordinators to evaluate the structure & design of program components and provide optimal programming for children
\n
• Analyze, propose and implement a healthy and effective children’s ministry and family events (VBS, camps, and outreach events)
\n
• Discover ways to partner with Cornerstone Christian School’s programming & families
\n
• Recruit, hire, train & direct all Kid’s Ministry positions from coordinators to volunteers
\n
• Equip parents to be involved in the spiritual formation of their child
\n
• Build a family culture that is continually attracting new kids and families
\n
• Provide oversight to part-time children’s ministry coordinators
\n

\n

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

\n
• Weekly check-ins and monthly meetings with children’s ministry coordinators
\n
• Oversee entire operational process for children ministry (approve staff hours and development)
\n
• Develop a strategic plan in alignment with the overall church mission, vision, and core values
\n
• Develop current staff allowing them to grow in their God-given potential
\n
• Regularly communicate with parents
\n
• Manage budget and plan events one year in advance
\n

Educational requirements:

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in education or children’s ministry preferred. Experience in Children’s Ministry leadership may replace educational requirements
