Director of Business Development
BirdiePass
Job Description
Schedule: Approximately 24 hours per week, including three days of local travel
Compensation: Startup equity ownership opportunity plus performance-based commissions and bonuses
About BirdiePass
BirdiePass is a Palm Beach County golf startup building a more flexible way for local golfers to access and play participating courses through a monthly membership. We help golf courses attract new golfers, generate recurring revenue and fill available tee-time inventory while allowing each course to control its participation.
We are looking for an experienced, well-connected business-development professional to help expand our network of golf-course partners throughout Palm Beach County.
The Role
This is a relationship-driven, field-based position for someone comfortable meeting directly with golf course owners, general managers, directors of golf and management groups. You will represent BirdiePass throughout the full partnership process—from identifying and approaching potential courses to presenting the model, addressing objections, negotiating pilot terms and helping bring new partners onto the platform.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue public, semi-private and private golf-course partnership opportunities
Visit golf courses throughout Palm Beach County approximately three days per week
Build relationships with course owners, general managers, directors of golf and other decision-makers
Present the BirdiePass business model and clearly communicate its financial and operational benefits
Schedule and lead meetings, presentations and follow-up conversations
Negotiate pilot programs and partnership terms alongside BirdiePass leadership
Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects, meetings and next steps
Help refine our course-acquisition strategy based on operator feedback
Represent BirdiePass professionally within the South Florida golf community
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in business development, partnerships, outside sales or account acquisition
Strong relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills
Knowledge of the golf industry or existing relationships with golf-course operators strongly preferred
Comfortable conducting in-person outreach and developing opportunities from the ground up
Entrepreneurial, persistent and motivated by building an early-stage company
Able to work independently while communicating consistently with the founding team
Located in or near Palm Beach County
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally are required
Why Join BirdiePass?
This is an opportunity to help shape an early-stage golf company rather than simply fill a traditional sales position. The right person will have a meaningful voice in our partnership strategy and the opportunity to earn ownership equity as BirdiePass grows.
Compensation will include an equity opportunity, commissions tied to successful course partnerships and additional performance-based bonuses. Final terms will be based on experience, availability and the candidate’s potential contribution.
