Director, Engineering and Facilities

Overview Our client, a leading medical research organization , is seeking a Director of Engineering and Facilities to lead the planning, design, and execution of laboratory construction and campus improvements while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities This role oversees consultant selection, manages external firms and internal design staff, drives long-range capital planning, and directs project budgets and team operations. Qualifications The ideal candidate brings 15-20 years of facilities engineering or planning experience, including at least five years in a technical leadership role, previous experience overseeing facilities/campuses over 500,000 sq. ft., a proven track record managing multi-million-dollar construction projects and deep expertise across architectural, mechanical, structural, and civil systems.

Strong leadership skills and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, Timberline, and e-Builder are essential, along with a degree in engineering or architecture. Relocation and Compensation Candidates must be open to relocating to Maine . The position offers a salary up to $200,000 plus bonus, relocation assistance (including up to six months of short-term housing), and strong potential for career growth.
