COMMERCIAL SERVICES COMPANY This PE-backed Commercial Services Company based in the Philadelphia area has a long history and has teamed up with our sponsor to drive organic and inorganic growth during their hold period. The business sits in a highly fragmented market that will allow the Director of M&A to drive substantial and rapid inorganic growth throughout the I-95 corridor. DIRECTOR OF M&A The Director of M&A manages all aspects of the pre-close deal cycle, and any post-close integration activities as appropriate.

They are an integral part of the company’s growth strategy. The Director will be responsible for the development and execution of all inorganic growth workstreams. They will be expected to work closely with brokers, third-party advisors, and internal functional and business leaders to drive inorganic growth and execute on the company’s strategic plan.

The Director will be a direct report to the top Executive Team and will interface regularly with the Sponsor’s deal team (monthly cadence and on an as needed basis). RESPONSIBILITIES Grow and manage the pipeline of prospective acquisition targets with the help of sponsor and brokers Understand and assess the feasibility and fit of acquisition targets, including alignment with company growth strategy Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders involved in all aspects of the acquisition deal cycle Manage target companies throughout the deal cycle, from origination through close, including managing the due diligence process & underwriting model and memo Own origination efforts (including pipeline management, upstream engagement, transaction analysis & rationale, and seller interactions) Facilitate due diligence through data and workstream management and liaison with the Sponsor and help lead deal negotiation Help with integration preparation & execution and post-close workstreams Monitor industry and competitor trends to inform and adapt the company’s inorganic growth strategy Continuously expand knowledge of all elements within the deal cycle and expand scope of the function and future team build REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required 4+ years’ experience within M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or similar buy-side M&A-oriented career experience Proven ability to perform as a “deal quarterback” and lead multiple deal processes concurrently Proven track record of successful with due diligence and deal execution Strategic mindset to source and execute transactions in line with the company’s growth strategy Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial disposition Proven ability to be a “team player” with a “company first” mentality Self-starter attitude and strong sense of project ownership Personal alignment and commitment to the mission, values and vision of the company Travel 2-3x per month
