Job Description
Director of Corporate Development. 3-days a week on-site in Atlanta Role Overview Lead M&A and corporate development for a PE-backed, multi-site healthcare services company Own acquisition pipeline development, deal evaluation, diligence coordination, and transaction execution Partner closely with the CEO, CFO, operating leaders, and private equity sponsor Help drive growth through add-on acquisitions, market expansion, and strategic value-creation initiatives Key Responsibilities Build and manage a targeted acquisition pipeline across priority markets and service line Source and evaluate founder-owned, regional, and independent healthcare services businesses Develop relationships with owners, brokers, bankers, consultants, and other deal source Lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, deal screening, and investment case development Coordinate diligence across finance, operations, legal, compliance, HR, IT, revenue cycle, and clinical team Prepare LOIs, board materials, investment memos, lender materials, and transaction presentation Support negotiation of key transaction terms alongside leadership, counsel, and the PE sponsor Manage external advisors, including legal, accounting, QoE, tax, and consulting partner Translate diligence findings into integration priorities and post-close action plan Track acquired company performance versus underwriting assumptions Support broader strategic initiatives, including market mapping, de novo analysis, partnerships, and exit-readiness planning Ideal Candidate Profile 6โ12+ years of relevant experience Began career in investment banking, ideally in healthcare or another transaction-heavy coverage group Healthcare experience required; healthcare services experience strongly preferred Prior exposure to multi-site or multi-unit business models preferred Experience in corporate development, private equity, transaction advisory, or a PE-backed company environment highly attractive Strong M&A execution experience, including modeling, valuation, diligence, and deal process management Comfortable working with founder-owned businesses and lower-middle-market acquisition target Dental, veterinary, vision, dermatology, ophthalmology, behavioral health, fertility, urgent care, PT, home health, or similar outpatient models Other recurring, multi-site provider services businesses Required Skill Excellent financial modeling and valuation capabilities Strong understanding of M&A process and diligence workstreams Ability to assess unit economics, payor mix, reimbursement exposure, provider productivity, capacity, and regulatory risk Strong PowerPoint and Excel skill Clear, concise communication with executives, sponsors, lenders, advisors, and operators Ability to manage multiple live deals and priorities in a lean, fast-paced environment Personal Attributes Commercial, analytical, and highly proactive Low-ego and hands-on Strong relationship builder with executive presence Comfortable engaging with founders, physicians, operators, investors, and board members Detail-oriented while maintaining a strategic view Comfortable with ambiguity, imperfect data, and fast-moving decisions Reporting Relationship Reports to the CEO Works closely with the private equity sponsor, board, finance, operations, legal, and integration teams Compensation Annual bonus Equity or long-term incentive opportunity Potential transaction or value-creation-based incentives Target Background Middle-market investment banking with healthcare services exposure Private equity Associate / Senior Associate focused on healthcare services Corporate Development Manager / Senior Manager at a PE-backed healthcare platform Transaction advisory or diligence professional focused on healthcare Strategy or M&A leader at a multi-site healthcare services company #J-18808-Ljbffr
