Your Impact Axon is seeking an experienced Direct Tax Manager to support the continued growth and execution of our global direct tax function. This hands‑on individual contributor role will support key areas including global income tax compliance, ASC 740 tax provision, transfer pricing documentation, Country‑by‑Country Reporting, Pillar Two initiatives, tax accounting, and related process improvement efforts. Work Location Hybrid Presence based near our US Hubs – Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Sterling, Seattle, New York City or Scottsdale.
The role follows a hybrid schedule. Team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. What You’ll Do Gather data and review corporate income tax returns, Country‑by‑Country Reporting, and Pillar Two filings in the U.S. and globally, coordinating with outside preparers for returns.
Assist with transfer pricing documentation. Assist with M&A integration work and new entity expansion. Prepare and review quarterly global tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
Manage the direct tax calendar/task matrix for all compliance duties and deadlines. Manage all tax balance sheet accounts on the GL and prepare monthly close procedures, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations as needed. Proactively monitor and operate a robust internal control tax environment in compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley or similar requirements.
Respond to questions and issues from business units and functional groups. Develop and maintain working relationships outside the finance organization. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology solutions that increase efficiency and accuracy.
Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows, documentation, research, and team productivity. Operate independently and effectively in a high‑growth, high‑change environment with evolving tax priorities. Independently lead select direct tax projects and process‑improvement initiatives, with appropriate mentoring and guidance as needed.
What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting, CPA designation. 6‑8 years of relevant experience in the tax accounting profession. Experience working in or supporting a Big 4 public accounting environment and/or a publicly traded multinational technology company preferred. Experience supporting a large multinational or complex global business.
Experience with preparation and review of tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Experience with preparation and review of corporate income tax returns. Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
