The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing diagnostic strategies, authoring diagnostic requirements, and validating diagnostic functions of electronic control units (ECUs) both at component and vehicle level. Familiarity with automotive diagnostic standards, tools, and communication protocols is essential.

A Day in the life 1) Diagnostics requirements & Compliance 2) Diagnostic Standards & Compliance 3) Diagnostic Testing & Validation 4) Tools & Software Proficiency 5) Communication Protocols & Architecture 6) System-Level & Vehicle Validation Academic Qualification & Experience BTech/MTech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Automotive or equivalent. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage. Technical Skills/Knowledge 1) Sound experience of working in the automotive field. 2) Knowledge of product development processes for automotive OEMs 3) Thorough knowledge of SW System Architecture & Integration 4) Knowledge on Automotive Communication Networks CAN, CANFD, LIN, 5) Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and Diagnostic Tool Set (DTS). 6) Proficient in working with ODX/MDX files, and knowledge of ASAM MCD-2 standards. 7) Experience with ECU Flashing Tools and VCU reprogramming tools. 8) Good knowledge of SW development lifecycle 9) Strong understanding of UDS (ISO 14229), OBD-II (ISO 15031/SAE J1979), and DoIP (ISO 13400). 10) Ensure compliance with OBD regulations (EU, EPA/CARB, BS-VI/OBD-II India). 11) Good Knowledge and understanding of division of software into sub parts like Application, Bootloader, End of Line, Service, Demo Mode, Calibration 12) Work Experience in Software Configuration Management, is required 13) Ability to communicate well through writing and be able to create flowcharts and diagrams Behavioural Skills Experience in working under time constraint and under pressure Innovative thinking, intercultural skills Excellent communication and intercultural skills Adaptability, Self-motivation Strong sense of achievement and ownership Openness to new approaches, high flexibility What will it be like to work for Hero As the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters for the last 22 years, Hero is where you will get to work with the brightest innovators, passionate about being the best in what they do.
