Devops Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience managing infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring high availability across on-premise and cloud environments. Immediate Joiner preferred Requirements Infrastructure: On-premise servers, Docker, Kubernetes, Podman Automation: Ansible, Shell scripting, GitHub Actions Messaging: Kafka Web & Proxy: NGINX Observability: Prometheus, Grafana Version Control: Git Cloud & IaC (Good to Have): AWS, Terraform -Backend Familiarity: Node.js (TypeScript), Express.js, REST APIs, OpenAPI, JWT, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain on-premise server infrastructure ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability across environments. Write and maintain shell scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate provisioning, configuration, and day-to-day operational tasks.

Build, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, with Podman as an additional tool where applicable. Design and operate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to standardize and accelerate software delivery across teams. Configure and manage Kafka-based messaging systems to support scalable, event-driven architectures.

Configure NGINX for load balancing, reverse proxying, and SSL termination. Set up and maintain Prometheus and Grafana for metrics collection, dashboards, and alerting. Enforce security best practices across infrastructure including network hardening, secrets management, access control, and vulnerability mitigation.

Design systems with scalability in mind — horizontal and vertical scaling, auto-healing, and efficient resource utilization. Collaborate with development teams on release planning, deployment strategies, and incident response. Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures to maintain institutional knowledge.

Requirements 2+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering role. Strong Linux system administration skills and solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs). Hands-on experience managing containerized workloads in production using Kubernetes or equivalent.

Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines in a team environment. Solid understanding of infrastructure security principles — least privilege, secrets management, and audit logging. Experience setting up and maintaining monitoring and alerting in production environments.

Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues under pressure. Good written and verbal communication skills with a habit of clear documentation. Preferred / Bonus Skills Development experience in Python or Node.js.

Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform. Familiarity with ADFS for identity and access management. Experience with MongoDB or Typesense in production environments.
