About therole

We are seeking a Development Engineer to join our PlanningDepartment Services Team. In this role, you will apply yourspecialist civil engineering knowledge to support and influence theCity’s land development process, underpinned by a tertiaryqualification in Civil Engineering. You will play a role incoordinating and assessing Structure Plans, Subdivision Plans,Development Applications and Civil Engineering approvals.

To be considered forthis role, you must address the following selection criteria asasp of your online application:

• Knowledge of planning process and the relevant statutoryguidance for Greenfield subdivision and urban infilldevelopment sites.
• An ability to perform composite analysis, interprettechnical data and consider complex design elements attached tothe provision of road and drainage infrastructure.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the modelling andimplementation of urban water management concepts.
• Knowledge of project management, construction techniques,materials and coordination of civil engineering relatedworks.
• Experience with software packages such as 3D Civil.
• Quality communication (verbal and written) and a high-levelnegotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team.

This position offers a gross annual salary of $120,603 -$128,590 per annum and:

• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to afurther 5%
