Development Chef

Job Description Alliance Personnel are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join one of clients based in Birmingham.\n\nJOB PURPOSE:\n\nTo be responsible for writing and cooking new products based on product briefs.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES\n\n * To write, cook and present new product recipes in preparation for management approval.\n\n * To be responsible for tweaking and fine-tuning products to meet business needs.\n\n * To research and develop new product concepts relevant to the business needs.\n\n * To be able to communicate tweaks in recipes so management can make decisions on product viability.\n\n * To be responsible for bench marking existing products against competitors’ alternatives.\n\n * To be responsible for value engineering current products to meet an ever-demanding market.\n\nSKILLS & ATTRIBUTES\n\n * Must be a trained chef to a senior level.\n\n * Must have experience of developing recipes and products ideally for a manufacturing business.\n\n * Must have a passion and interest in food.\n\n * Must be computer literate.\n\n * Must be comfortable with handling and tasting all types of food.\n\nHOURS OF WORK\n\nFlexible 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday\n\nTEMP TO PERM
