Job Description
As a Development Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic growth and development initiatives of MPG. Working closely with the development team, you will be responsible for identifying, analysing and evaluating potential development opportunities throughout Northern Ireland and undertaking feasibility/risk appraisals to assess their suitability. The successful applicant will also be expected to conduct financial assessments and provide valuable insights to inform decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities Site Identification Identify and assess potential opportunity development sites through market research, networking, and land sourcing strategies Conduct initial site appraisals, including planning policy review, site constraints analysis, and development potential. Review and analyse mapping data, GIS systems, and spatial planning tools to identify land opportunities and site constraints Evaluate the financial viability of potential development projects. Conduct thorough financial modelling, including cost estimations, revenue projections, and investment returns.
Prepare and maintain detailed development appraisals. Market Research Awareness of market trends and ability to analyse market data to identify development opportunities. Establish and maintain effective contacts within the property industry Identify and keep abreast of the key areas of demand throughout NI.
Identify and assess potential risks associated with development projects. Work collaboratively with other departments to develop risk mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and project management teams, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Qualifications and Skills 3 years plus experience in Property Development, Planning, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in financial analysis and modelling. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficient in financial modelling software and Microsoft Excel. Personal Attributes Self-motivated and proactive.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong problem‑solving skills. Adaptable to a fast‑paced and dynamic work environment.
