Desktop Platform Engineer

Overview Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Desktop Platform Engineer to join their team. As a Desktop Platform Engineer, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Support team supporting the development and maintenance of desktop environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Platform Engineer Location: Pennington, NJ Pay Range: $73.68 per hour What’s the Job? Design and implement next-generation desktop platforms within the financial center environment Manage and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows 10 Utilize virtualization technologies such as Microsoft AppV and User Experience Virtualization Package and deploy software using tools like Microsoft Configuration Manager and Flexera Admin Studio Support dispersed branch office environments with networking and telemetry tools What’s Needed? Extensive experience with Windows OS environments (Windows 7 and Windows 10) Proficiency with Microsoft Virtualization Technologies (AppV, UEV) Knowledge of packaging technologies, including Microsoft Configuration Manager and Flexera Admin Studio Experience with VMware Hosted Virtual Desktop environments Skills in scripting languages such as VbScript, Perl, and PowerShell What’s in it for me?
