With an extensive wholesale portfolio of over 12,000 SKUs, Krasdale has delivered unmatched service and leadership in the marketplace for more than 100 years. *Job Summary:* We are seeking a skilled *Desktop Engineer* to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, supporting, and optimizing desktop environments across the organization. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Windows OS and MAC IOS, endpoint management tools, automation, hardware support, and enterprise security best practices. *Duties & Responsibilities:* *Key Responsibilities* * Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 11) and associated hardware. * Manage and deploy software packages, patches, and updates using tools such as *Microsoft Intune*, *SCCM* or similar endpoint management platforms. * Develop and maintain system images, task sequences, and deployment automation. * Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2/3 desktop support issues, including OS, application, and driver-related problems. * Ensure endpoint security using tools such as Windows Defender, BitLocker, and group policy hardening. * Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles. * Collaborate with security, networking, and systems teams to improve desktop performance, reliability, and compliance. * Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to help desk staff and end users. * Windows server support as an escalation point for tier one and tier two support team members. *Required Skills:* * Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred. / Equivalent * Strong communication and customer service skills * Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. * Must be organized and able to manage projects of varying length. * Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently. * 3–5 years of experience in Windows desktop engineering, administration, or advanced support. * Strong proficiency in Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. * Experience with endpoint management tools such as *Microsoft Intune*, *SCCM*. * Knowledge of OS imaging, deployment methodologies, and automation. * Solid understanding of endpoint security, encryption, and compliance policies. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues. * Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with virtualization technologies (AHV, Hyper-V). * Familiarity with enterprise networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN). * Experience with scripting languages beyond PowerShell (e.g., Python, Bash). xqrzhdi We offer competitive compensation packages and opportunities for professional growth within our organization.
