Design Manager – Architecture, BIM & Development Coordination Location: Mauritius (Relocation Required) Employment Type: Full-Time Blue Ridge Limited is seeking an exceptional Design Manager – Architecture, BIM & Development Coordination to join our growing real estate development team in Mauritius. This is a senior, hands-on role for a highly capable architectural/design professional who can take ownership of design coordination across multiple developments from concept through execution.

We are not looking for a traditional draughtsperson or studio-only architect. We are looking for someone who can bridge architecture, BIM, consultants, visualisation, procurement, site execution, and overall design management — someone who can help shape the design language of our developments while ensuring everything is coordinated, buildable and delivered to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Design & Consultant Coordination * Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, interior and specialist consultants * Review drawings for completeness, coordination and buildability * Manage drawing registers, revision logs and consultant trackers * Follow up on consultant deliverables and technical deadlines * Resolve design clashes across disciplines BIM & Technical Design Management * Lead and oversee BIM/Revit coordination workflows * Review BIM models and drawing packages * Ensure alignment between plans, elevations, sections and 3D models * Identify technical inconsistencies and coordination gaps early Visualisation & Design Language * Coordinate with 3D visualisation teams and rendering specialists * Review CGI output, marketing plans and presentations * Help maintain a clear and consistent architectural language across projects * Review façade direction, materials, detailing and design quality Procurement & Materials Coordination * Support selection and sourcing of finishes, materials and architectural components * Coordinate with suppliers and project teams on specifications * Assist with value engineering and design optimisation * Review finishes from both design and practical execution perspectives Site & Development Coordination * Coordinate between consultants, project managers and site teams * Review technical issues arising during construction * Support design clarifications and site execution alignment * Ensure the built product reflects approved design intent Candidate Profile Required: * Degree in Architecture / Architectural Technology / Built Environment * 5–10+ years of relevant experience * Strong proficiency in: * AutoCAD * Revit / BIM * SketchUp * Strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation * Experience coordinating across multiple consultants and disciplines * Experience working with 3D rendering / visualisation teams * Strong design sensibility and eye for materials, proportion and detailing * Excellent English communication skills * Strong organisational and project coordination ability * High attention to detail * Willingness to relocate to Mauritius Highly Preferred * Experience in residential, mixed-use or hospitality developments * Developer-side project experience * Experience with premium or tropical architecture * Knowledge of interior finishes and materials * Exposure to procurement and specification management * Site execution or construction-stage coordination experience What We’re Looking For We value people who: * take ownership * are highly organised * solve problems independently * care deeply about design quality * can manage multiple stakeholders * understand both design and execution * think like a developer, not only like a consultant * can move confidently between concept, BIM, visualisation and construction To Apply Please send: * CV / Resume * Portfolio (PDF or link) * Examples of projects personally coordinated or delivered * Software proficiency summary * Current salary * Expected salary * Notice period * Confirmation of willingness to relocate to Mauritius Applications without portfolio/work samples may not be considered.
