Design Engineer

Title: Civil Design Engineer Department: Solar Engineering / Civil Design Location: Chennai Solar or any related Industry Experience (Mandatory) Immediate Joiners Preferred Job Summary: This role involves leading or supporting the civil design and engineering aspects of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The candidate will be responsible for site feasibility studies, layout planning, structural design, and ensuring compliance with civil engineering standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Site Assessment & Feasibility Conduct site visits during pre-bid, construction, and O&M phases.

Prepare site feasibility reports and recommend remedial measures. Design & Engineering: Develop civil layouts including grading, drainage, and access roads. Design module mounting structures and foundations using STAAD Pro or equivalent tools.

Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and construction drawings. Project Coordination: Collaborate with electrical and structural teams for integrated design. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure design compliance and execution quality.

Compliance & Documentation: Ensure designs meet local building codes and international standards. Prepare documentation for approvals, audits, and client submissions. Qualifications: B.Tech or related degree in Civil Engineering. 5–8 years of experience in solar PV civil design, preferably with exposure to large-scale projects.

Skills & ; Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, QGIS, Google Earth, MS Office. Strong understanding of geotechnical, hydrological, and structural aspects of solar projects. Excellent project management and communication skills.
