Design Engineer

Responsibilities Design and develop suspension and chassis components using CATIA. Create 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation. Work on components such as control arms, knuckles, subframes, cross members, suspension links, brackets, chassis frames, and mounting structures. Conduct design feasibility studies and support product development activities. Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T principles. Coordinate with CAE, testing, manufacturing, and supplier teams for design validation and implementation. Support prototype development, testing, and engineering change management activities. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements. Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification s Strong proficiency i n CATIA V5/ V6 for 3D modeling, assembly design, and draftin g.Good understanding of automotive suspension systems and chassis structure s.Knowledge of sheet metal, welded assemblies, castings, forgings, and machining processe s.Hands-on experience with GD&T and tolerance analysi s.Familiarity with DFMEA, APQP, and automotive product development processe s.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specification s.Strong analytical and problem-solving skill s.
