Job Description

The individual will be responsible for driving product strategy, market competitiveness, product launches, sales enablement, and category growth. The role requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and product positioning to support business objectives and enhance market share. Key Responsibilities Product Launch & Product Training Plan, organize, and ensure effective execution of product launch meetings and product counselling sessions for both new and existing products.

Facilitate knowledge transfer and product awareness across sales and business teams. Develop and deliver product presentations, training materials, and product communication tools. Market Research & Go-to-Market Strategy Conduct SWOT analysis, market assessments, and Go-to-Market (GTM)studies for existing and new product categories.

Evaluate market opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to enhance category performance and market penetration. Support product positioning and commercialization strategies. Product Knowledge & Sales Enablement Develop comprehensive knowledge of the Sanitaryware category and related product lines.

Collaborate closely with sales teams through regular market visits to understand customer requirements, market trends, and business opportunities. Provide technical and commercial support to strengthen sales effectiveness and customer engagement. Competitor Analysis & Product Gap Identification Monitor competitor products, innovations, certifications, and market developments across domestic and international markets.

Conduct product gap analysis and identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement. Recommend product improvements, new product introductions, and certification requirements to maintain market competitiveness. Product Benchmarking & Pricing Support Prepare and maintain comparative benchmarking of products, features, pricing (MOP), and value propositions against key competitors.

Share actionable insights and benchmarking reports with sales and leadership teams. Support pricing strategy discussions through market and competitive intelligence. Product Display & Merchandising Excellence Ensure effective display and visibility of new and existing products across all relevant channels including Jaquar World (JW),Jaquar World Premium(JWP), Company Display Centres (CD), Regional Displays (RD), Market Displays (MD), and Shop-on-Display (SOD).

Monitor implementation standards and recommend improvements to maximize product visibility and customer experience. Business Growth & Strategic Initiatives Drive innovative initiatives to improve product management processes, product placement, and business outcomes. Identify and implement extraordinary measures to strengthen category performance and market presence.

Develop business cases and recommendations for new opportunities contributing to revenue growth and customer acquisition. Key Competencies Successful execution of product launches Product category growth and market share improvement. Quality and effectiveness of product training initiatives.

Competitive benchmarking and market intelligence effectiveness. Product display compliance and visibility standards. Product gap closure and portfolio enhancement initiatives.

Contribution towards business growth through strategic product initiatives. Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, Business Management or related field. Experience: 9–12 years in Product Management, Category Management, Marketing, or Business Development.

Experience in Sanitaryware, Bath Fittings, Building Materials, Consumer Durables, or allied industries preferred
