Delivery Driver

A great position has become available within the Mike Carney Toyota Team for a delivery driver in the Parts department, with an immediate start.

Our busy Parts Department is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading, and unloading delivery vehicles and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. We will provide training to the right person who can demonstrate motivation, and the right aptitude and attitude as well as a willingness to learn.

Key Job Function & Accountabilities

This role would see you carrying out all pack and load activities detailed below.

Pack and load orders into delivery vehicles according to company's specifications

Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes

Maintain ongoing communication with warehouse and sales staff

Unload goods as per client specifications

Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs

Obtain delivery confirmations via a signature from each customer

Assist warehouse staff when required

Pick, pack, sort, and invoice delivery's

Keep delivery vehicle well maintained (this includes fuelling of vehicle and cleaning inside and out).

Qualifications and skills

To be suitable for this position, you will ideally have good time management skills, be self-motivated, and be diligent.

Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience

Strong customer service ethic is vital

Strong attention to detail to ensure orders and paperwork are correct every time

Professional presentation with a flexible, adaptable attitude

Minimum 1 year as a delivery driver

Must hold a manual class C licence

Qualifications in Warehousing and Storage would be advantageous
