The Deli Manager plays a key role in helping customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service through managing and leading one of the busiest teams in our store Manage and merchandise the department for maximum productivity and profit Order and manage inventory controls, product quality Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions, and make recommendations on merit increases via completing the bi-annual performance review process. Regularly attend and participate at in-store meetings. Recruit, hire and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
