Data Quality Analyst

Job Title: Data Quality Analyst – Advanced Location: Bedford, NS (On-site, 4 days/week) Duration: 12 months (extension TBD) Schedule: 37.5 hours/week Role Overview Seeking a Data Quality Analyst to support a Data Controls team within Core Data Services. The role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across enterprise data systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation Design and implement data quality (DQ) rules Support UAT testing activities Conduct root cause analysis of data issues Collaborate with technology teams and data consumers Participate in program/project meetings Produce management reporting and insights Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in data quality, data controls, and data analysis Advanced SQL and query design skills Python proficiency Microsoft Excel (advanced) Data profiling and pattern recognition Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills Experience with JIRA or similar tracking tools Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Bachelor’s degree Nice to Have R programming experience Master’s degree Soft Skills Strong communication (written and verbal) Strong analytical and investigative mindset Ability to simplify complex data concepts for varied audiences Excellent time management and collaboration skills Tools & Technologies SQL, Python, Excel, JIRA Work Environment On-site in Bedford, NS with flexibility for 1 day remote per week.
