Data Governance Analyst
Recruit with Purpose
Job Description
This is a brand-new Data Governance Analyst role focused on helping this Housing Association to better trust its data, make better decisions and create the right behaviours to ensure improvements last. If you’re a Data Governance specialist who thrives on driving best practice, bringing in controls, and generally wrapping your arms around data to help improve an organisation’s approach, then this will be a great role for you! This Housing Association is investing significantly in its data capability and is now looking for a Data Governance Analyst to help embed good practice across the organisation.
The role Working closely with the Data Governance Lead and Data Quality Analysts, you'll play a key role in helping the organisation mature its governance capability. You’ll support the implementation of governance frameworks, establish controls and help colleagues across the business understand their responsibilities when it comes to data. Initially, much of your focus will be within the Asset domain, but over time you'll help shape governance practices across the wider organisation.
You’ll: Support the continued development and embedding of the data governance framework. Work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define responsibilities and improve accountability. Help implement controls, standards and governance processes across critical data domains.
Drive improvements in data integrity and data management practices. Support the introduction of appropriate access controls and governance mechanisms. Work closely with the Data Quality team to ensure improvements are sustained over time.
Promote good data behaviours and support colleagues through change. About you You’ll understand governance best practice but, more importantly, know how to apply it in the real world. It’s not about being a theoretical governance consultant.
It’s a visible role for someone who can balance best practice with pragmatism, challenge constructively and help people move forward. You'll likely bring: Experience working in Data Governance, Information Governance or a similar role. Experience helping organisations improve their governance maturity.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. The ability to operate in an environment where not everything is fully defined. A practical, collaborative and delivery-focused mindset.
Experience working closely with business stakeholders to embed sustainable change. Housing experience isn't essential. If you have successfully introduced governance practices in an organisation then you’d be an excellent candidate.
What matters most is that you can combine good governance principles with a pragmatic approach and a willingness to get stuck in. You’ll join a small but ambitious team that is growing and evolving. You'll work alongside experienced and supportive leaders, have the opportunity to influence how governance develops across the organisation and play a key role in building the foundations for a modern, trusted data function.
The salary on offer is £46,000 and this role is based near Liverpool with likely two days a week in the office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
