Your New Role As the Data Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing modern data pipelines and lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric .
You will play a key role in developing end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows, integrating data from multiple sources, and enabling efficient analytics through strong data architecture and automation practices. You will work across Fabric Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouse, OneLake, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Services , while also supporting governance, security, CI/CD, and deployment best practices. What You’ll Need to Succeed To be considered for this role, you will ideally bring: 5+ years of experience in data engineering with cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Services Strong expertise with Microsoft Fabric components , including Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouse, and OneLake Proven experience designing and optimizing data lakehouse solutions using Delta Lake and Apache Spark Strong SQL and Spark programming skills, with experience transforming, cleansing, and aggregating large datasets Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture , including medallion architecture Experience integrating data platforms with Azure services, external systems, and reporting/BI tools such as Power BI Knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata management, and access control , ideally with exposure to Microsoft Purview Familiarity with Azure DevOps , CI/CD pipelines , source control, branching strategies, and deployment automation Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering , or a related field Nice to have: Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate Experience in a non-profit or public sector environment Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric with Purview for governance and compliance What You’ll Get in Return In return, you’ll join a collaborative and purpose-driven environment where your work will directly influence data strategy, reporting capabilities, and decision-making.
