Data Engineer

Are you an experienced Data Engineer ? Would you like to join a growing financial services business in Edinburgh with a great working environment ? Its hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office.

What You’ll Do: Build and optimise data pipelines and data marts Deliver high-quality, reliable data for business insight Work closely with stakeholders to ensure a single version of the truth Design & maintain data flows and acquisition processes Develop scalable, high-performance data marts Enhance and support SQL-based applications Contribute to data warehouse development and optimisation Ensure strong data governance (quality, security, availability, performance) Troubleshoot and resolve data issues efficiently Deliver end-to-end data requests for stakeholders Identify data risks and recommend solutions Collaborate across teams to improve business decision-making Required experience: Strong analytical and investigative mindset Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders Strong organisation and time management skills High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Advanced Excel skills A proactive, “can-do” attitude in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Experience with SQL and/or SAS Exposure to data warehousing or BI environments Familiarity with tools such as: SAS Viya Jira Microsoft Fabric GitHub Experience in Insurance or Financial Services Evidence of technical learning and development STEM degree (or equivalent experience) For more information get in touch asap
