Data Engineer

Data Engineer — Position Summary Adroit Affine is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain the data pipelines, warehouses and integration layers that power analytics and machine learning initiatives for enterprise clients. You will work with a modern data stack — dbt, Apache Airflow, Spark and cloud-native data platforms — to deliver reliable, well-governed data products. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, dbt, Apache Airflow or Prefect.

Design and implement data models in cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift). Ingest data from diverse sources: APIs, databases, event streams and flat files. Ensure data quality through testing, validation and automated monitoring.

Work with data architects to design scalable, modular data platform components. Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand their data needs. Document data lineage, schema definitions and pipeline dependencies.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to data engineering best practices. Required Qualifications 2+ years of professional data engineering experience. Proficiency in Python 3 for data processing and workflow automation.

Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one cloud data warehouse. Experience with ELT/ETL orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster or similar). Familiarity with dbt for data transformation and testing.

Understanding of data modelling: star/snowflake schemas, data vault. Preferred Qualifications Apache Spark / PySpark experience for large-scale data processing. Stream processing with Apache Kafka, Kinesis or Pub/Sub.

Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg or Hudi. Knowledge of data governance and cataloguing tools (Alation, DataHub). Compensation & Benefits Salary: $75,000 – $125,000 based on experience.
