Data Center Technician (DCT) | Warsaw

TechTree's client is hiring a Data Center Technician for a long-term infrastructure programme supporting a major EU agency in Warsaw.

This is a hands-on role for someone experienced in rack & stack, structured cabling, hardware troubleshooting, asset management, and physical data center operations.

  • Location: Warsaw, Poland
  • Work model: On-site
  • Employment: Contract
  • Contract duration: Initial 12 months, extendable up to 48 months
  • Estimated compensation: €100,000–€120,000 annually
  • Level: Associate

What you'll do

  • Install and decommission servers, switches, and other data center equipment
  • Perform rack & stack activities and maintain rack layouts
  • Manage structured cabling, patching, and labelling
  • Troubleshoot physical server and network hardware
  • Maintain hardware inventory and asset records
  • Receive equipment and manage the hardware lifecycle
  • Support maintenance and RMA processes
  • Conduct inventory audits and capacity checks
  • Prepare and execute infrastructure changes
  • Maintain data center documentation and maintenance records
  • Coordinate third-party contractors working on-site

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of overall IT experience
  • 2+ years in physical data center operations
  • Hands-on rack & stack and cabling experience
  • Knowledge of server, network, PDU, and data center infrastructure
  • Basic LAN, switching, and patching knowledge
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Familiarity with asset management, inventory, and change-management processes
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Valid Category B driving licence
  • English at B2+ level
  • Comfortable working with heavy equipment and in typical data center environments
  • Ability to work on-site in Warsaw
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain CONFIDENTIEL UE / EU CONFIDENTIAL security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience managing third-party contractors
  • Familiarity with formal change-management processes
  • Experience handling hardware maintenance and RMA workflows
