The Managed Services Data Center Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day team management and operational management of U.S.-based data center environments supporting internal systems and InterSystemsâ clients. This role ensures high availability, operational excellence, and compliance across thirdâparty facilities while coordinating closely with internal infrastructure, platform, and application teams. Data Center Operations Manage daily operations across one or more colocation data center facilities, serving as the primary operational point of contact Coordinate remote hands, maintenance windows, and incident response with colocation providers Ensure availability and reliability of power, cooling, space, network connectivity, and physical security Lead incident management and root cause analysis involving internal teams and thirdâparty providers Maintain and enforce SOPs, runbooks, access procedures, and escalation paths Infrastructure & Platform Support Support enterprise infrastructure platforms including: Dell PowerFlex and other softwareâdefined storage systems Nutanix and VMware converged infrastructure Kubernetes platforms (e.g., Spectro Cloudâmanaged environments) Partner with Systems, Platform, and Cloud teams to support hardware lifecycle events, upgrades, and capacity expansions Ensure operational readiness for containerized and virtualized workloads deployed in colocation facilities Team Leadership Lead and develop data center operations staff and contractors supporting colocation environments Define staffing models, onâcall rotations, and escalation coverage Promote operational discipline, documentation quality, and continuous improvement Vendor & Provider Management Manage colocation providers, hardware vendors, network carriers, and service partners Oversee SLAs, maintenance coordination, access controls, and service delivery Support contract reviews, renewals, and capacityâplanning discussions with providers Capacity, Asset & Lifecycle Management Plan and manage rack space, power, and cooling capacity within colocation facilities Oversee hardware installs, decommissions, migrations, and inventory accuracy Maintain documentation for layouts, power chains, network connectivity, and platform dependencies Security, Compliance & Risk Enforce physical security policies and access governance in thirdâparty facilities Support audits and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC, ISO, HIPAA, PCI) Identify operational risks related to colocation dependencies and drive mitigation strategies CrossâFunctional Collaboration Work closely with Solution Portfolio Director, Architecture Director, infrastructure architects and technical leadership to align data center operations with platform architecture, capacity planning, and longâterm technology roadmaps Act as a key interface between Facilities, Network, Systems, Cloud, Security, and Application teams Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution Participate in change management, architecture reviews, and platform readiness assessments Required Qualifications Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of data center or infrastructure operations experience, with significant colocation exposure 3+ years in a leadership or management role Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, servers, and networking Experience coordinating operations across thirdâparty providers Proven incident management, escalation, and problemâsolving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience operating multiâsite or geographically distributed colocation environments Handsâon familiarity with: Coralogix ServiceNow Dell PowerFlex or similar SDS platforms Pure Storage or similar FCâBlock SAN storage Broadcom VMware VCF Nutanix AHV and Cluster Management Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or regulated environments Certifications such as ITIL, CDCP/CDCS, PMP, or similar Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), ServiceNow, asset management, and infrastructure monitoring tools Key Skills & Competencies Strong vendor and provider management skills Operational leadership in thirdâparty environments Ability to bridge physical infrastructure and modern software platforms Clear communication with technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders Process discipline, documentation, and change control Comfort operating in a 24x7, missionâcritical environment EqualâOpportunity Employment We are an equalâopportunity employer and do not discriminate because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, age, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression or any other legally protected category. Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.
