Position Summary The Data and Analytics Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and accessible data and reporting across STARR Restaurant Organization’s enterprise systems. Reporting directly to the Chief Information and Technology Officer, this role sits within the Technology GRC function and serves as a hands-on contributor supporting STARR’s Workday implementation, enterprise reporting, and the maturation of the organization’s data governance practices. In the near term, the analyst will play a key role in the data migration, cleansing, and validation activities that support the Workday HCM, Payroll, and Financials go-live.

Over time, the role will broaden to enterprise reporting and analytics across STARR’s full systems landscape — including Workday, Toast POS, and STARR’s forthcoming CRM platform — and will help establish the data dictionaries, quality standards, and governance practices that underpin trustworthy enterprise reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on with SQL and modern business intelligence tooling, comfortable working with messy real-world data, and motivated to grow into a more senior data role over time. Key Responsibilities Workday Implementation & Data Migration Support Support data extraction, mapping, cleansing, and validation in preparation for the Workday HCM, Payroll, and Financials go-live.

Reconcile data between legacy systems — including ADP, Great Plains, and Workday to ensure accuracy and completeness. Partner with HR, Finance, and the Workday implementation team to identify and resolve data-quality issues surfaced during conversion. Document data mapping decisions, transformation logic, and validation results.

Reporting & Analytics Develop reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. Create and maintain scheduled reports for business stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations. Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that support decision-making.

Respond to ad-hoc data requests from leadership and functional teams. Build and maintain data integrations between enterprise systems. System Integration & Data Management Support data integration between Workday, Toast POS, and other enterprise systems.

Assist with CRM data acquisition, quality, and integration as STARR implements its CRM platform. Maintain data flows and integration monitoring. Troubleshoot data-related issues across integrated systems.

Document data architecture and integration touchpoints. Data Governance & Quality Contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise data dictionaries and data-quality standards. Support emerging data governance practices, including classification, retention, and lineage.

Promote consistent, trustworthy data definitions across business functions. Required Qualifications Two to three years of experience in data analysis, data management, or business intelligence. Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries (including JOINs and CTEs) for data extraction and analysis.

Experience with data migration, ETL processes, or data integration projects. Hands-on proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable business intelligence tool; Power BI strongly preferred. Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and complex data manipulation.

Excellent attention to detail and a strong data-quality orientation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience documenting data processes and creating data dictionaries. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, or Financials data, whether in implementation or operations. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Query, or the broader Microsoft data platform stack.

Multi-location or multi-concept hospitality, retail, or restaurant operations background. Familiarity with restaurant systems including Toast, RESY, OpenTable, CTUIT, or Triple Seat. Experience supporting an ERP implementation, payroll system conversion, or other large enterprise system migration.

Exposure to formal data governance concepts including classification, retention, lineage, and master data management. Exposure to ADP, Great Plains, NetSuite, or other operational ERP/HRIS platforms. Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
