Alteryx Data Analyst

Overview

Data extraction, reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and process automation initiatives. This team serves as an internal data partner to business stakeholders, providing high-quality data solutions that support regulatory reporting, client data management, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

This is a highly visible role sitting between business and technology teams. The successful candidate will work directly with stakeholders across Capital Markets to gather requirements, analyze data needs, extract and transform data, develop reporting solutions, and support automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical data skills with exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.

What Success Looks Like

This person will become a trusted partner to business stakeholders by:

• Understanding complex data requests and clarifying requirements
• Extracting and analyzing data from multiple databases and sources
• Building and maintaining Alteryx workflows
• Supporting and enhancing Power BI dashboards
• Automating manual reporting and business processes
• Improving data quality and operational efficiency
• Supporting future migration initiatives toward Azure Databricks
• Delivering accurate outputs with minimal rework

Core Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Analysis

• Write SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple databases
• Work with 9-10 different data sources across various environments
• Understand database structures, relationships, keys, and joins
• Support ad-hoc and recurring business data requests
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards
• Support business reporting and analytics initiatives
• Create data extracts and automation solutions using Alteryx
• Assist business users with reporting and data interpretation

Stakeholder Management

• Partner directly with Capital Markets business stakeholders
• Clarify requirements that may be incomplete or ambiguous
• Ask thoughtful questions to identify underlying business needs
• Translate business requests into technical data solutions
• Manage expectations and provide regular updates

Process Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
• Build and support Alteryx workflows
• Test database and API connections
• Improve operational efficiency through automation solutions

Future State Initiatives

• Support the team's roadmap toward Azure Databricks
• Assist in converting existing Alteryx and reporting processes into future-state platforms
• Participate in modernization and data transformation initiatives

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
