Data Analyst

Insight Global are looking to hire a Sr Data Analyst to join a global financial services firm. The group works collectively with stakeholders in other lines of business, Product Management, User Experience designers, developers, control functions and others to document current state processes, define critical requirements for improvement, identify and map required data elements and lead simplification initiatives. The group works with operating models that deliver digital solutions and incremental improvements to process, data, and user tools.

Role/Responsibilities : As part of the Ratings Platform Development team which leads the design and adoption of new processes and data workflows that enable digital transformation and scalability across the organization globally. The Data Management Analyst role will assist in defining, managing and governing the data used across several product workflows, acting with support from senior data team members. Core accountabilities include: Assist in developing an initial set of harmonized data requirements contributing to efficiency and quality enhancements Participate in the definition of data concepts, common reference data and establish sound data usage practices with relevant partners Partner with technology, data, and process teams to develop next generation data structure plan including creating databases, supporting data migration activities and establishing data governance practices Collaborate across key MIS partners to determine the data required to deliver the target state service solution, and map the end-to-end data lineage Identify, clean, validate and migrate data elements from legacy databases to modern data infrastructure Assist in designing and monitoring key performance indicators related to key data processes and data quality, and monitor and report on observed process performance including to suggest data improvements Contribute to a rigorous and consistent framework to govern data changes and align this approach with partner teams Utilize SQL Script writing/execution to extract data to support data analysis Review data sets to provide insights on data patterns, data normalization, and data standardization recommendations Must-haves: Demonstrable experience in data management and data transformation roles Data migration experience.

Proven experience using Alteryx Proven experience using Python to clean data Proficient in SQL Knowledge of database structure Experience working with customers and/or users to understand data requirements and use cases Plusses : Knowledge of AI systems Experience using Master Data Management and Data Governance tools such as Collibra Strong Financial Services background
