We are seeking an enthusiastic and analytically driven Data Analyst to join the Marketing department, working closely with the Data & Insights team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming marketing data into actionable insights that drive business performance. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of reports, interactive dashboards, and insightful analyses, helping the Marketing team better understand campaign effectiveness, identify opportunities for growth, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
Through this role, you will gain valuable hands on experience in business intelligence and marketing analytics while making a meaningful contribution to the department’s strategic objectives
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools.
- Write SQL queries and prepare data for reporting and analysis.
- Support analysis of marketing, fan engagement, campaign and event performance.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into practical BI solutions.
- Validate data and investigate reporting discrepancies.
- Help improve and automate recurring reporting processes.
- Support the development of consistent KPIs and reporting definitions across Marketing.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting outputs.
- Act as a super-user for the Data Warehouse reporting and Racing Intel Dashboards, ensuring that best practice is given appropriate focus and effort across HRI Marketing & Racecourses.
- Support the Data & Insights team projects as required.
Skills and experience
- Third-level qualification in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Around 1-2 years’ experience in BI, reporting, data analysis or a related role
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- Strong proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or a similar BI platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail and confidence working with data
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
- Candidates must possess a deep understanding of data modelling concepts and practical experience with Power Query, DAX, or marketing analytics.
- A team player with excellent project management and organisation skills - along with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and requirements-gathering skills.
- Experience with Fabric would be advantageous.
This role is suited to someone who can independently deliver reports and dashboards while developing broader skills in data modelling, stakeholder management and end to end BI delivery.
