Data Analyst

Contract: 6 months (extension likely) Location: Belfast (on-site)Directorate: Planning, Performance & Corporate Services About the Role A fantastic opportunity for an experienced data professional to join a high‑performing analytics team. You'll translate complex data into clear insights that support strategic decision-making across a fast‑paced, essential public service. What You'll Do Produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly activity and performance reports for senior stakeholders.

Analyse, clean and interpret large, complex datasets to identify trends and support operational and strategic decisions. Prepare statutory and regulatory returns for external bodies. Present complex insights clearly to non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership.

Support strategic project planning and contribute to collaborative analytical work. Ensure full compliance with GDPR, Data Protection and confidentiality requirements. Represent the organisation at relevant forums and working groups.

What You'll Bring Strong experience with MS Access, Excel (including pivot tables), and general data manipulation. A degree in IT/Computing/Data/Statistics OR 5 years of relevant analytical experience. Excellent analytical and interpretation skills with exceptional attention to detail.

A confident communicator able to present findings in formal meetings. Solid understanding of data security and confidentiality. Nice to Have SQL, VBA, GIS or familiarity with health sector data standards.
