Role Cybersecurity Engineer Location Chennai (Work from Office) Preferred Experience 3–5 Years Reporting to Engineering Manager – Mobility Practice About the Role We are seeking an Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and manage cybersecurity solutions for vehicle systems in compliance with ISO/SAE 21434. The role involves TARA, security validation, risk assessment, and secure development across the automotive product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and define cybersecurity requirements. • Develop and maintain cybersecurity work products as per ISO/SAE 21434. • Design and implement security solutions for ECUs and connected vehicle platforms. • Conduct penetration testing, fuzz testing, and vulnerability assessments. • Secure automotive communication networks including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet. • Implement Secure Boot, OTA security, SecOC, cryptographic controls, and key management. • Support cybersecurity audits, compliance activities, and incident response. • Collaborate with software, system engineering, functional safety teams, suppliers, and OEMs. Technical Skills • ISO/SAE 21434 and TARA expertise. • Automotive cybersecurity and secure software development. • Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. • CAN, UDS, DoIP, LIN, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet. • SAST/DAST tools and vulnerability scanners. • Programming in C/C++, Python, or Java. • Cryptography, PKI, HSM, and key management systems. • Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, DOORS, or Polarion is preferred. Non-technical Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management. • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Required Qualification • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electronics, or a related field. • 3–5 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity, embedded systems, or software security. • Knowledge of ISO 26262 is preferred. • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, Security+, or OSCP are an added advantage.
