Job Description
Simon George and Sons has been supplying Australia's top chefs, restaurants, hotels and institutions with premium fruit and vegetables since 1927. Four generations on, we're still a family-owned business with freshness, quality and great service at the heart of everything we do.
We're looking for a friendly, switched-on Customer Service Officer to join our Cairns team on a 12-month fixed-term, part-time contract.
This is an early morning role working Monday to Friday, with start times generally between 3:00am and 4:00am depending on the day. It would suit someone who loves getting an early start, enjoys talking to customers and can keep things moving in a busy, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Taking and processing customer orders accurately
Answering customer calls, emails and enquiries
Providing friendly and reliable support to our customers
Making adjustments to orders and helping resolve any issues that arise
Liaising with warehouse, sales and operations teams to ensure orders run smoothly
Completing accurate data entry and maintaining customer information
Supporting general customer service and administration tasks as required
Pitching in and helping the team during busy periods
What We're Looking For
A bright, friendly and confident communicator
A genuine customer service mindset and positive attitude
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Someone who can stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using computers, email and office systems
Reliable and comfortable with early morning starts
Previous customer service, administration or order processing experience is highly regarded
