Customer Service Representative

About the Opportunity

Looking for a customer service role where you'll be valued, supported and have genuine long-term career opportunities? We're recruiting for a respected specialist medical practice in Newcastle seeking an experienced Customer Experience Representative to join their friendly and professional team.

Working within a busy medical contact centre, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals, providing outstanding service while coordinating appointments, managing referrals and supporting patients through their healthcare journey.

This is an initial 6-month temporary assignment with genuine potential to become permanent for the right person.

Hours: 4 days per week – 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional earlier starts based on workload

What you'll be doing

• Managing inbound and outbound calls
• Assisting patients with appointments and referral enquiries
• Coordinating bookings and maintaining accurate patient records
• Communicating with GPs, specialists and other healthcare professionals
• Processing emails and appointment confirmations
• Providing general administrative support to the wider team
• Delivering a warm, professional and empathetic customer experience.

About you

You'll bring:

• Experience in a call centre, contact centre, medical administration or other fast-paced customer service environment
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to detail and accurate computer skills
• A caring, patient and professional phone manner
• Confidence working across multiple systems in a busy environment
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for helping people.
