Cassowary Coast Regional Council – Tully QLD

We are seeking two Customer Service Officers to join our team at the Tully Library, with one ongoing full-time and one ongoing part-time opportunity available.

Working collaboratively across Council and with external stakeholders, you will deliver positive and responsive customer experiences, proactively identify customer needs and take ownership of service outcomes. You will take pride in providing a high standard of service while contributing to Council’s customer engagement objectives and positive organisational culture.

Salary commencing from $71,608 p.a. + super + locality allowance

One Full Time position + Monthly RDO

One Part Time position working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (approximately 21.75 hours per week)

5 Weeks Annual Leave + 3 Weeks Personal Leave (pro rata for part time)

Based in Tully and across the region

About the Role

Deliver professional and responsive customer service across telephone, face-to-face and other service channels.

Manage customer enquiries, requests and complaints through to satisfactory resolution.

Process customer requests, receipting and other administrative transactions accurately.

Undertake cash handling and complete end-of-day reconciliations.

Build positive working relationships and provide customer service support across Council locations as required.

Skills & Experience

Year 12 or equivalent knowledge and relevant administration experience.

Strong customer service and cash-handling skills.

Well-developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Competency in Microsoft Office and other digital systems.

Strong organisational skills, confidentiality and a current Queensland C Class driver’s licence.
