About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join a 'big 4' bank as a Casual Relief Customer Service Officer supporting branches across the northern Adelaide region.
This role is ideal for customer-focused professionals who enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are looking to build experience within the banking industry.
As a Casual Relief Customer Service Officer, you'll support multiple branch locations, helping deliver exceptional customer experiences while assisting with day-to-day branch operations.
As part of the relief team, you'll provide coverage across the banks northern branch network, supporting branches from Ingle Farm through to surrounding northern locations as required.
Your first month will include comprehensive training across multiple branches to ensure you're set up for success. Following training, you'll receive your roster in advance where possible, although flexibility is essential as branch requirements can change and occasional same-day allocations may occur.
While this position does not offer guaranteed hours, recent demand has seen relief team members consistently engaged across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to branch customers
- Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with their everyday banking needs
- Identify opportunities to refer customers to specialist banking services
- Maintain compliance with banking policies and procedures
- Support branch operations and administrative tasks as required
- Represent the bank professionally across multiple branch locations
About You
- Strong customer service experience
- Previous cash handling experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable transport and the ability to travel across the northern branch network
Highly Regarded
- Previous banking or financial services experience
- Retail banking branch experience
- Sales or referral experience
- Experience working within a customer-facing environment with performance targets
Location Requirements
To minimise travel requirements, preference will be given to candidates located within approximately 5-10km of Ingle Farm. Travel expectations would generally not exceed a 45-minute commute to support neighbouring branches across the northern region.
