Customer Service Officer

MI Battery Engineering is an Australian-owned battery engineering, manufacturing and technology business with more than 80 years of experience. We support customers across a wide range of industries with battery, charging and power solutions. We are looking for a friendly and reliable Customer Service Officer to join our Milperra team.

This role would suit someone with strong communication skills, a positive attitude and experience in customer service, administration or sales support role.

About the Role

You will be one of the first points of contact for customers, helping with enquiries, orders, quotes and follow-ups. You do not need to be a technical expert - we will provide training and support so you can learn our products and systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Answer customer enquiries by phone and email in a helpful and professional way.
• Enter and process customer orders accurately.
• Prepare basic quotes and follow up with customers when needed.
• Keep customers updated on order progress and delivery information.
• Work with the sales, purchasing and warehouse teams to help get things done.
• Learn about our products so you can provide simple information and direct more technical questions to the right person.

About You

• You enjoy helping people and are willing to learn.
• You have experience in customer service, administration, retail, call centre, sales support or a similar role.
• You communicate clearly and politely with customers and team members.
• You are organised, reliable and have good attention to detail.
• You are comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office.
• You are happy to ask questions, learn new systems and build your product knowledge over time.
• Experience with batteries, technical products or ERP systems is helpful, but not essential.
