We are in constant transformation and looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and flexible Credit Analyst to join our Credit & Account Services team in Lisbon.

What does the Operations area do?

It provides service excellence in operations focusing on client needs. We do this by ensuring best practices of execution on services related to Funds, Cash/Securities Management and Settlements, Payments, Reconciliation, and Control of Credit Operational Business, as well as Account Maintenance documentation.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Book and maintain loans, credit limits, and SBLC in the systems;
  • Prepare, analyse, and submit credit limit renewal applications for existing transactions;
  • Draft, review, and maintain credit documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Manage databases, spreadsheets, and operational reports using our core systems;
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of client data quality controls and operational processes;
  • Conduct investigations and resolve inquiries from internal and external stakeholders;
  • Support system enhancement initiatives and new technology implementation projects;
  • Assist the department coordinator with special projects and ad hoc requests;
  • Support regulatory, internal audit, and external audit requirements, ensuring timely and accurate responses;
  • Produce and review weekly and monthly management reports;
  • Contribute to operational excellence by maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and service delivery; and
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable BSA/AML regulations, policies, and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • Availability to work night shift (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and/or on a rotating schedule;
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 1 to 3 years of proven experience in Banking;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong attention to details and commitment to accuracy;
  • Team player with an open-minded approach towards other cultures and ability to work in an international team;
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and driven to identify opportunities for process and system improvements;
  • Able to perform in a high-paced environment within tight time frames;
  • Knowledge of banking rules and regulatory requirements;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: MS Excel, Power Point, Access, and Word;
  • Experience using electronic signature platforms, such as Adobe Sign;
  • Knowledge of credit operations, credit processing, and credit card products is an advantage;
  • Previous experience in Private Banking is a plus.
