About the Role
Flex is seeking a Creative Director to lead the magic behind building and scaling the marketing brand. Reporting to the Head of Growth (Marketing), this role will focus on evolving the creative brand strategy all-while building a team of both internal and externally sourced creative-talent. This is a highly influential position that has the opportunity to collaborate and impact multiple areas of the business.
This includes focusing on demandâchannels including events, and creative outâofâtheâbox dataâdriven campaigns across product and lifecycle. This also includes internalâmarketing, companyâwide print materials and employer branding. This role requires immense creativity, team management, and is able to holistically scale with the business based on creativeâdata and proven results.
What Youâll Do
Ensuring Creative Excellence: Ensure that the Flex brand is fiveâstar, consistent across visuals, and thoughtfully builtâout, to ensure highâperforming creative results with a focus on brandâbuilding and brandâawareness.
Customer Driven Logic: Develop and continuously evolve the Flex brand to appeal to the correct audience, across all channels, speaking to the correct segments of the market.
Lead and Manage: Operate as a creative subject matter expert to lead, coach, critique, ideate, pitch and deliver excellent creative strategy. Lead a growingâteam of roles such as: graphic design, illustration, webâdesign and development, eventâcreative and production, printâproduction, advertising strategy, and video and photography. While also working alongside copywriters, managing thirdâparty creative vendors and agencyâprojects.
Handsâon Creation: Manage creative work handsâon, as a tactical designer, while also managing when to outsource speciality projects and develop a more robust team during the company evolution.
Marketing TechâStack: Carefully own and optimize creative team process, projectâmanagement, and software resources to drive efficiency on the team.
GoalâSetting: Project manage brand and creative projects crossâfunctionally to deliver on budget, timeline, and goals.

What You Bring
- Minimum of 8 years building and scaling a creative marketing function from the early stages of highâgrowth USâbased B2B startups (seed/series A - through Series D). Over 5 years of management experience across creative and marketing departments. Fintech/finance industry a major plus.
- Strong competency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and creative AI tools, all while keeping the pulse on evolving software and tools in the field.
- Management over webâdevelopment software such as content management software (CMS) and hosts (PMTs), while maintaining optimal accessibility improvements ensuring humanâvalue, reporting and legalities are thoughtfully considered across WCAG, ADA and AODA.
- Excellent projectâmanagement skills, with knowledge of building and training teams on taskâmanagement software (Asana, Jira, Monday, etc).
- Knowledgeable when working with council through trademarking legalities, and process management.
- Experience managing video talent, productionâdays, event crews, with onâtheâfly problem solving and carefully crafted runâofâshow management.
- Prior experience working at an agency, and managing adâcreative across channels such as outâofâhome, programmatic, affiliate, paid, organic, influencer, sponsorship and more⌠is a plus.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present and get buyâin at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to source, hire and retain top talent with positiveâteam experiences.
