The Opportunity

• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, disposals and other significant corporate transactions.
• Act for businesses, investors, entrepreneurs and financial institutions on UK and cross-border mandates.
• Bring your own specialist focus to the role, whether centred on M&A, private equity, venture capital, capital markets or complementary transactional work.
• Introduce clients to expertise from across the firm's broader legal offering, providing access to joined-up advice beyond the immediate transaction.
• Deepen key relationships and identify new sources of work through the firm's sector and international connections.
• Participate in the strategic direction of the Corporate offering and its continued national profile.
• Share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the UK and overseas.
• Play a visible part in winning work, nurturing talent and enhancing the firm's position within the corporate market.

The Ideal Candidate

• A Corporate Partner with considerable experience advising on transactional matters.
• An established network of clients and contacts together with a demonstrable ability to generate instructions.
• Extensive M&A expertise, with additional exposure to private equity, venture capital, capital markets or joint ventures welcomed.
• Commercial insight and the confidence to advise senior decision-makers on strategically important transactions.
• Evidence of successfully building lasting relationships and converting connections into work.
• The ability to bring something complementary to the firm's existing Corporate capability.
• A Partner who is motivated by the prospect of taking their client proposition into a broader national and international environment.
