Job Description

Title: Corporate Development

Client: Global construction professional-services platform

Salary: Up to £110,000 + Bonus

Location: London or Dublin

About the Company

Our client is a PE-backed global professional services business operating across the built environment, with expertise spanning project management, cost management and technical advisory services across construction, real estate and infrastructure.

The business works with leading clients across a diverse range of sectors and has built a strong international presence across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. With a rapidly expanding global footprint and a strong track record of growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, the business is now a significant player in its market.

The company has an entrepreneurial culture, with a strong emphasis on client relationships, commerciality and high-quality service. Its continued international expansion and acquisitive growth strategy provide an exciting platform for further development.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Group’s Corporate Development team as it continues to execute an ambitious international growth strategy.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in identifying, evaluating and executing strategic acquisitions across the Group’s target markets. The role will have significant exposure to founders, shareholders and senior management teams, with responsibility spanning the full M&A lifecycle from initial target identification and relationship development through to transaction execution and integration.

The position will be particularly suited to a commercially minded M&A professional who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and building relationships with business owners. While strong financial and analytical skills are important, this is not a purely execution-focused role; the successful candidate will have significant scope to originate opportunities, develop relationships and influence the Group’s broader growth strategy.

The role will involve regular international travel, including across Europe and Australia, to meet prospective acquisition targets and management teams.

You Will Have

  • 4–6 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategy consulting or a similar M&A-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of the M&A process, with experience across target identification, valuation, due diligence, negotiations and transaction execution.
  • A genuinely commercial, relationship-led M&A role, with involvement across origination, evaluation and execution. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with founders, shareholders and senior management teams.
  • A polished, personable and highly credible communication style, with the maturity to represent the Group with senior external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including across Europe and Australia, as required

You Can Expect

  • The opportunity to join a high-growth, international business with a strong track record of M&A-led expansion.
  • Significant exposure to senior leadership, founders and business owners across a broad range of acquisition opportunities.
  • Regular international travel, including opportunities to meet acquisition targets and management teams across Europe and Australia.
  • A competitive remuneration package, with equity participation available following the first year.
  • The opportunity to develop within a rapidly scaling Corporate Development function and play a key role in the next phase of the Group’s growth.
