Contract Type: Permanent, 2-month trial period

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST. Some flexibility is required to work across time zones

Salary: COP 7-9 million/month + perks package

About the Job

We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to consolidate worldwide general ledgers and provide an accurate, timely view of corporate performance. The position will work closely with corporate accounting and tax, global operating locations, and business unit controllers to ensure (1) worldwide trial balances are correct and validated, (2) intercompany transactions properly reflect corporate structural relationships, and (3) intercompany eliminations and foreign exchange entries are appropriately booked

Responsibilities

• Assist with global accounting closes, including preparation and communication of global close calendars, close progression and
  acting as a global point person for related inquiries.
• Prepare and/or review accounting entries for corporate transactions, intercompany settlement and eliminations, transfer pricing
  consistency, account reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Participate in all financial reporting system related activities such as changes to the global chart of accounts, entity reporting
  hierarchies, user access, consolidation mappings and other processes and controls.
• Manage multiple subsidiary relationships as well as data from multiple accounting systems.
• Liaise with financial planning, treasury and tax functions and external auditors as needed.
• Support variance and financial analysis of results at the consolidated level as well as by location and line of business.
• Ensure consistent application of GAAP in financial reporting and maintain expertise in financial reporting standards as defined by FASB
  and the SEC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting
• Proven ability to work with multiple EPM and financial reporting systems.
• Experience with financial consolidation of different business units, companies, and international entities as well as multiple
  accounting systems.
• Thorough working knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements under GAAP.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with general accounting, foreign currency issues, month end close procedures,
  eliminations and consolidations, SOX controls and external audit procedures.
• Ability to offer flexibility in schedule to accommodate various time-zones.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Access/Monarch.
• English: Intermediate (B2+) or higher, able to communicate effectively in a professional business environment.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
