Corporate Accountant Needed in NE Calgary! Start ASAP! Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for several Corporate Accountants in the manufacturing sector in Calgary, Alberta.

Our client is actively hiring 2 Corporate Accountants to join their finance team in the NE. This is a contract role with a high chance of going permanent. Perfect person for this role has 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ASPE knowledge, and a CPA in progress.

What’s in it for you: $45.00 - $50.00 hourly

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, 2 days WFH and 3 days in-office

Contract duration: 3 months with chance of extension and permanent hire

Location: NE Calgary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages, supporting management review and informed business decisions.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepaid expenses, and journal entries, ensuring accuracy, compliance with ASPE, and thorough variance analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including disclosures, MD&A reporting, and government statistical surveys.
• Support month-end and year-end processes by collaborating with internal teams and external auditors to ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting.
• Provide financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and support organizational objectives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on corporate accounting experience
• Completed post-secondary in finance and accounting
• CPA in-progress or designated
• Working experience with Oracle Cloud or similar ERP software
• ASPE knowledge preferred
• Power BI experience will be considered a huge asset
• Solid experience with financial reporting packages, variance analysis, and financial statements
