Contract Staff Accountant - AP

Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant - AP on behalf of our client, a manufacturer specializing in high-performance polymers and chemical solutions for various industries. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable functions and supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, reconciliations, and reporting while maintaining compliance with internal controls.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing Process and verify vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness Maintain accurate vendor account records and reconcile discrepancies Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports Manage outgoing cash flow to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time Perform vendor account reconciliations Correspond with suppliers to resolve payment issues, disputes, and inquiries Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Assist with month-end closing processes and reporting deadlines Support additional accounting duties as assigned Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience Experience managing accounts payable functions Manufacturing industry experience preferred Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage payment schedules and prioritize deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills Effective communication skills for vendor correspondence Certifications: CPA or other accounting certifications preferred but not required Knowledge: Accounts payable processes and internal controls Month-end close procedures ERP systems or relational databases preferred Experience with Navision strongly preferred Key Competencies: Detail-oriented and process-driven Strong sense of accountability and ownership Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional communication and vendor relationship management Financial accuracy and compliance mindset Collaborative team player How to Apply: To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
