Job Description Job Description CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ESTIMATOR Bingham Construction, Southern California’s premier commercial construction company, and recognized leader in design-build tenant improvement projects, is seeking a Project Estimator to help support our rapid expansion in the Class A office, medical, industrial, and senior living fields. The right candidate will be the leader of our estimating and project procurement efforts and will have the opportunity to grow into a Chief Estimator within the next 5 years. The ideal candidate for the Project Estimator position has a minimum of 5 years’ estimating experience with a mid-size or large commercial general contractor specializing in Class A office, medical, senior living and industrial office construction .

Estimating experience must include hard bid and conceptual estimating . In addition, a four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is required. Candidate must be fluent with Microsoft Office and Project, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat DC, and must possess excellent written, verbal and computer skills as well as be extremely detail oriented.

The roles and responsibilities of this position include: Meet with clients and/or design team to determine project scope of work. Develop conceptual and/or systems estimate based upon space plans, pricing plans, or other basic scope information. Create baseline project schedule to serve as basis for general conditions cost estimates.

Schedule and conduct jobwalks with client and subcontractors. Provide periodic budget updates based upon release of updated plans. Prepare and issue bid invitations to bidding subcontractors.

Assemble hard bid estimates using in-house estimate abstract bid sheets. Lead estimate hand-off meetings with project managers and coordinators. Provide estimating support to company as needed.

Review actual costs of completed projects to serve as a basis for future estimates.
